The Kava Cabana Bar is chef-driven, pet-friendly restaurant who offers Kava, a fantastic wine selection, and tasty bites in heart of Cocoa Village. We are the first of its kind to offer Kava, Kombucha, and Kratomon in Cocoa Village. We offer a little something for everyone and welcome all ages, however, Kava is only served to ages 18+.
During the day you will find others enjoying tasty bites and relaxing beverages in our peaceful outdoor garden. It is a perfect place to enjoy lunch, study, or work remotely.
During the evenings, you can enjoy a variety of different types of weekly entertainment including live music, art shows, card readings and open-air markets.
Keep It Local Brevard Wine Bar & Eatery offers inside and outside patio seating, themed gatherings, tea parties, and pet friendly events. In addition, they offer special ordered baked goods, on-site catering, and venue rentals for your next event. They specialize in a delicious variety of fresh Mediterranean dishes, homemade breads, and treats, gourmet appetizer catering, up-scale hors d’oeuvres, and finger foods for your next family gathering, wedding event, networking event, corporate event, or office meeting.

Gail Lightle
OWNER & MASTER CHEF
Gail has been the hospitality industry 34 years. She describes herself as a passionate foodie who loves to create new recipes and memorable events. Her passion for cooking began at the early age of 14 and accounts her love of cooking to her Nana who she says made some of the best dishes as a child. Growing up in England and the restaurant industry nurtured her passion for creating tasty dishes.
In addition to her love for catering, she holds a position at “Tails at the Barkery” located in Cocoa Village which offers freshly baked treats for furry friends. Prior to this, Gail dedicated 12 years of her journey to managing and restoring The Parrish Grove Inn Bed & Breakfast. She was the driving force behind the 120 year old Queen Anne style mansion from being demolished. After moving the building across the Indian River on a barge to its present location in Historic Cocoa Village, she began offering their highly acclaimed Sunday Brunch. In addition, she utilized her catering, wedding planning, and event coordination services to launch “Wine on the Grove”, an exclusive wine bar that also serviced also featured several craft beers. In 2018, Gail decided to venture out to start her own catering business to service the community. Keep it Local Brevard Catering and Events was born!
Gail also has a passion for volunteering and hosting fund raisers that support numerous local charities. If you don’t find her in the kitchen or volunteering, you will likely find her pet sitting, a business she started 14 years ago and still loves.
While her journey started in England, Gail’s most recent accomplishment is becoming an American citizen.
